Most Food Surety training courses have no formal prerequisites, you can choose the course that fits your role, and we’ll make sure you’re supported to gain maximum value. Our Introductory Food Safety and HACCP Awareness courses are designed for beginners, while advanced courses (such as Advanced HACCP or Auditor Training) are better suited to learners with some prior knowledge or industry experience. However, previous experience is not always required, we guide you step by step so you can succeed.

Yes. Every Food Surety training course includes an immediate downloadable Achievement Certificate once you complete the course and pass the final assessment. Many of our learners use their Food Surety certificate to demonstrate compliance, as evidence in audits, and to show professional development to employers and customers.

Once you’ve passed the end-of-course assessment, you can download your certificate immediately by clicking the “Download Certificate” button on the assessment completion screen. You can also access it anytime by signing in to the Food Surety website, opening Your Portal, and selecting “Your Activity & Certificate”. From there, you can download or print your certificate whenever you need it

Yes. Our certificates are widely accepted by auditors, councils, and leading food businesses such as Coca-Cola, Griffins, Inghams, Tegel, Zespri International, Seeka, EastPack, Midland Apiaries, Manuka Health, Villa Maria, Indevin, Marisco, Oceania Dairy and many more.

You have up to three attempts to achieve the required 80% pass mark. If you’re still not successful, simply contact Food Surety. We’ll provide one-on-one support to help you fully understand the course content, then give you another opportunity to complete the assessment. Our goal is to make sure you’re confident in the training and supported on your learning journey.

No. Our training aligns with NZQA unit standards for structure but does not award NZQA credits. This keeps our courses faster, more flexible, and fully compliant.

Yes. Food Surety e-learning and the Food Surety website are fully mobile-friendly. You can complete your training on any smartphone or tablet, Apple and Android, just as you would on a desktop. Food Surety e-learning is self-paced online training. You can sign in anytime, work through interactive modules, take quizzes, and download your certificate when finished.
