Why BRCGS Lead Auditor Training?
The BRCGS Lead Auditor course is a very thorough and advanced course that helps participants understand the protocol, the requirements of the BRCGS food safety standard, the audit process, and how to plan, conduct, and report an audit effectively.
This training is hands-on, comes with many case-studies and activities aimed at encouraging critical thinking. It means better judgement, stronger audit discipline, and more confidence when assessing sites against this globally recognised food safety standard.
To join this BRCGS Lead Auditor training course, participants should already have a working knowledge of quality management systems and auditing in the relevant manufacturing sector. A HACCP course of at least two days’ duration must also have been completed.
As part of the course preparation, participants are required to read and review a copy of the BRCGS Standard, including the glossary, available as a free download from the BRCGS Store, as well as the pre-course materials provided.
Participants will complete an exam at the end of the course. Successful completion of the course and exam forms part of the training needed to become a 3rd party BRCGS auditor with the remaining recognition steps to be arranged through a BRCGS-approved certification body.
